I couldn't work out why my daughter was suddenly getting diaper rash after not having it for months. Reading these reviews, I now understand. Time to switch brands I guess. So frustrating.

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

I have bought box after box of Pampers Cruisers since 2006. I was shocked to open my latest box to find thin, barely there diapers with zero mesh lining. These are worse than generic! My baby has been leaking and has had a rash all week as the wetness just clings to her skin. We are switching to Huggies.Be sure to [@] to let them know how bad the new cruisers are now.

New design is TERRIBLE!

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

The new design of these diapers is TERRIBLE! I have been buying Pampers for my kids since they were born, and have always loved the Cruisers. When I went to reorder from Diapers.com, I noticed reviews about the new design. I was hesitant to purchase, but I went ahead and as soon as I pulled the first diaper out of the package, I regretted my purchase. The mesh is gone, as is half the liner up the back! I'm paying the same amount of $ for half the quality! I put the new diaper on my son at bedtime, and when he woke up in the morning, he had leaked all over the front of his pajamas. I should have listened to all of the reviewers, and saved my money. I am very disappointed in Pampers. Thankfully, my son will be starting potty training soon and will switch to pull-ups, but in the meantime, I'm switching to Huggies Supreme. Incidentally, I did call Pampers to complain, and got the standard script...they made the changes in response to moms saying that the Cruisers were "bulky" around the front...seriously?? If that's the case, then why remove half the pad UP THE BACK?? I was also informed that I could purchase "Cruisers Premium"...which has 10% more aborbency...and of course costs more for less diapers...and is only available at one retailer. So basically, if you want the quality of the old "Cruisers", you have pay more for less product and buy "Cruisers Premium"...which is a bit of an oxymoron, b/c the old "Cruisers" WAS SUPPOSED to be Pampers' PREMIUM diaper! The one nice thing in all of this is that the Pampers Rep I spoke with was very professional, and Pampers is sending me a FULL refund for the package of 140 diapers that I purchased. NOTE TO PAMPERS..."we get it, you needed to cut costs in this economy...no one is being fooled, please don't disguise it as something good!"

Very Disappointed with New Design

Cons:
Leak, Shortened Absorbancy Pad

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

When I opened my new box of cruisers I thought I had bought a bad box. The mesh lining is gone and almost half of the absorbency pad is missing. I called and talked to a Pampers representative who (was obviously reading and repeating the script given to her) said that there had been some changes made. I said, I know you keep repeating that there have been some changes, but half of the absorbancy pad is missing! I just want to know if I got a defective box of diapers! She put me on hold for a minute and came back on to say that this is part of the changes they have made to the diaper. What?! No absorbancy pad in the back 1/2-1/3 of the diaper? Where's my babies #2 supposed to go? I'm throwing this box of diapers away and switching back to Huggies, thank you very much. What a disappointment and waste of money!

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

I have been having problems with these diapers and reading the other reviews, I discovered I am not the only one. I used to love these diapers and now they are just disappointing. If it isn't broke, don't fix it! I have since switched to the competitors brand of diapers for kiddos on the move and while they are more expensive, they are a much better diaper than the new Pampers Cruisers. I would definitely consider switching back if a change was made.

Awful change to Pampers Cruisers

Stiff

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

I recently bought a new pack of Cruisers diapers for my 7 month old daughter, but did not immediately realize the deceptive changes made to the product. I was just about to order another box since there is $2.00 savings on this, and happened to read the reviews - that's when I saw what was going on. I happened to have a couple mesh lined daipers in the diaper bag, so compared the new ones against them, and boy! such a huge differnce! I will have to switch to a different brand now, and will not use pampers cruisers unless they bring the mesh liner back. I am very disappointed in their cost cutting strategy.

Huge Disappointment - no mesh lining! :(

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

We've always used Pampers...too bad they don't make Swaddlers larger than size 2 - they were great!Moving up to Cruisers for size 3 was great until the last pack of diapers with missing mesh lining and no longer soft!! She even got a rash for the first time ever! :(I called Pampers to give my opinion of the now poor quality (hard, less pliable) and no mesh lining. They offered coupons but I explained I have to find new diapers since she said none of their Pampers line has the mesh any longer. So she said she's sending me a refund check of the [$] I spent for the XL case. I'm impressed with that, if I do get it. But still sad and a little frustrated in having to find a new diaper! :(

In less than three hours, my son who only weighs 16lbs 10 ounces has a broken diaper with all of the plastic pebbles coming out. This is a horribl diaper for active boys and definitely not a good diaper for nightime use.

Disappointed with "premium" Cruisers
By JaneVerified Reviewer from San Leandro, CA on 11/29/2009
Cons:
Leak, Stiff
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

My daughter outgrew the Pampers Swaddlers and ready for the next diaper. When I was told that the next stage "premium" diaper is the Cruisers I simply made the purchase assuming that with the additional cost of these diapers they would have better quality. I was skeptical because the texture of the diaper seemed like poor quality, for a supposed premium diaper. In the same week, she had 2 blowout diapers that should not have been. This isn't typical for my daughter nor was the diaper "big" that should have leaked. I wondered why P&G wouldn't just continue to produce larger sizes of the Swaddler when so many parents are happy with them...the strategy must be to bring customers into the brand with the Newborn size and then hope to maintain their loyalty on to the next sizes/brands. Unfortunately, it's apparent their cost savings on manufacturing isn't passed on to customers the same as the diaper cost is more. I'm a brand loyal customer that will pay more for a product that works well. I've been trying other brands including Huggies Snug N Dry, 7th Generation, and Huggies Supreme and have decided that I will be switching brands to the Huggies. Both their regular and Supreme diaper have worked great for my daughter in the last 2 weeks.

Bottom Line:

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

I am so disappointed with the new changes. I have been using Pampers for my 15 month old son since he was born (and as a NICU nurse for 8 years) and loved them. Now, not at all. I thought it was a mix-up and I got a bad box, but as I sat down to re-order and read the reviews, I realize this is no mix-up. I agree with all of the complaints!! I will not buy Cruisers again. I am going to have to find a new diaper.

Terrible product change
By Disappointed MamaVerified Reviewer from New York, NY on 11/23/2009
Cons:
Leak, Poor Fit
Describe Yourself:
First Time Parent
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

Pampers recently changed the design of their Cruisers line and cheapened it significantly. They took away the mesh lining and shortened the internal absorbant pad. The end result has been leaky diapers! We've changed to Huggies which seem to work better. I would switch back to Pampers, but only if they go back to the mesh pad and longer liner. Terrible product decision- I would guess that the new design is cheaper to make and therefore, increase their profit margins.

Cruisers have changed!
By Mama TutuVerified Reviewer from Southeastern PA on 11/23/2009
Pros:
Adjustable Fit, Snug Fit
Cons:
Leak, Mesh lining is gone, Stiff
Best Uses:
Toddlers
Describe Yourself:
Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Pampers Cruisers Extra Large Case - Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7:

I've been a loyal cruisers user for >3 years. The mesh lining (think dry weave) and super absorbant layer made them hands down the best product on the market, until. . .
My last diapers.com purchase of this product ended up being an entirely different product in the same packaging. The mesh lining is gone. The super absorbant layer is cheaper, thinner, less absorbant. Very disappointing.
By no means diapers.com's fault, but you should be aware that the product isn't the same as it was just one case ago.
