My daughter was on Good Start milk based formula and come to find out it was upsetting her stomach and giving her gas at times i took her to her doctor and she suggested the Soy Milk based formula and i love it i'am a firt time parent the quality in this soy formula is great and a wonder for my baby this is definately something that i would reccomend for anyones baby if they are having problems with the regular milk for their baby but always of course go to your babys pedatrician and she hasnt had anymore upset stomach aches so that puts my mind at ease knowing she is feeling better everyday!!! I love my babygirl!!!!

After several trips to the GI specialist, we discovered that he had developed an allergy to milk protein. I had to stop breast feeding and tried all of the hypoallergenic brands, but they gave him no relief for the pain. We tried Good Start Soy as our last attempt before going on prescription formula, which insurance does not cover. He was like a totally different baby. The specialist did tell us that soy and rice cereals tend to constipate babies, so put 1/2tsp of Miralax in the bottle twice a day. You may have to adjust it up or down a little depending on baby. The specialist also said that I could try 100% prune juice cut in half, but that made his stools to runny. The Miralax worked like a charm. Also 30% of babies that have a milk protein allergy are also allergic to Soy, so you might still have to go a hypoallergenic formula. He is now 5 months and still on soy. We have no plans to change the formula and can not introduce milk products until 12 to 18 months. He is healthy and already wearing 6-9 month cloths. Hope this helps. If I have another child, I am going to go straight to Soy and not take the chance of another milk protein allergy.

My son started off on similac advance through the hospital but he would cry and cry from stomach pains so I tried similac sensitive but wic wouldnt pay for it so my pediatrician recommended good start soy and it has been a life saver.

achontually were currently using the similac and that's been fine but knowing that wic doesn't cover it i hope and pray that things go good i mean soy based is the same just different names from goodstart and similac so cross my finger has to gain weigh hopefully from this new soy based i've seen nothing but good reviews.. so until the later date of knowing the weight please pray lol.

I highly recommend this product. I breastfed my son for five months without supplementing, he had constipation problems so the GI doctor recommended gentlease formula and almentium which did not work for him because he is lactose intolerant. A friend that breastfed also recommended Goodstart and my husband, son and I have been happy ever since. He has no more constipation, gas ,or vomitting.

We must have tried 5 different formulas before finding this one. Every other formula was upsetting our sons tummy and this one does not. He will drink it without fuss and it doesn't cause gas or make his tummy bubbly!

I love Nestle Good Start! I breastfed for the first 4.5 months exclusively. When I started transitioning my daughter to formula and solids, I tried Enfamil Gentlease and Lipil first, but she didn't like the taste at all. Then I switched to Good Start and she loved it. After a few weeks she started spitting up, just to find out that she is lactose intolerant. I switched to the Soy-based formula and no more problems. Her gas, stomach aches, and constipation problems are resolved. She loves the taste and likes to drink more often that previously. The one negative comment I would say is that if you purchase the concentrate in the can, once it is refrigerated, it goops up and solidifies a little in the can. I much prefer the powder. Other than that, it gets an A+++ in my book and a big toothless grin in my daughter's smile!

This formula works great for my daughter. I breast-fed her for 6 months exclusively. When I went back to work I started to introduce formula. I trIed 2 others but she spit them out like it was the worst tasting thing. Finally, we tried Good Start and she drank it. I noticed the consistency was closer to breast milk. We use soy, because the milk based one gave her gas. Whew!

I use this formula for my 4 1/2 month old daughter. She has a milk protein allergy. She seems to enjoy eating this and has no trouble filling her diapers. It does stain, but I use a bib. If she does happen to get it on her clothes, I just pre-wash everything in the sink and even whites come out clean.

I grew up drinking Good Start Soy myself, and it's been a lifesaver for my son (literally!). We had huge problems with reflux and breastfeeding, but when we put him on this formula, he took right to it. He started gaining healthy weight finally, had regular bowel movements, and he loves the taste. I can't imagine giving my son anything else to drink!

I have a baby with milk protien allergy. On Nutramigen switched to Nestle due to taste and $$$ but after 1 week of using Nestle my child binded up severely with very firm stools that were painful. Also developed projectile vomiting because he could not "go" normally. Very dissapointed and afraid of long term effect.I immediately returned him to Nutramigen which I now know is worth it's weight in gold!

We tried 8 kinds of formula before good start soy. My son is a much happier baby now! He rarely spits up and doesn't have much gas at all. He has constipation, but putting karo syrup in his bottle seems to help.

I nursed until my son was 12 weeks old. He had a dairy alergy and I could not continue. I started him on Nestle Good Start and he was a different baby!!! Much happier and more satisfied after feedings!
