Comments about Huggies Goodnites Underpants for Boys and Girls:

when my son started school i worried about the fact that he has to wear a diaper. The fact that he had out grown normal diapers and the ones made for the disabled where five times as expensive definatly had me stressed so i started searching online and read reviews. We have been using goodnites for 3 years now and couldnt be happier. Absolutely zero accidents and my son can go on about his day with no one the wiser. Feels good when your child can carry on like every one else without the worry of being teased.

Comments about Huggies Goodnites Underpants for Boys and Girls:

My wife and I separated almost a year ago now, and our then eleven year old daughter did not take it well, at all, but I suppose that goes without saying. I moved out and found an apartment that was only a twenty minute trolley/subway ride away, and her mother and I are working out a joint custody agreement. Anyway, the first night she stayed with me at my place she wet the bed, for the first time since she was seven, and anyone who has ever been twelve will know how mortified she felt after that. Then it happened again the next night, and the next, and she refused to even talk about what we would do about it, snapping that she's not a baby. Eventually we reached a compromise that she would sleep on a few layers of my old ratty towels, and make sure she showered first thing every morning. It was a lot of extra laundry, but my heart was absolutely breaking for her and I didn't know what to do. After her week with mom I asked her (her being mom) if our daughter had been bedwetting. She had, every night, and swore it hadn't happened at my house. So we agreed to find a solution and talk to her about it together. Long story short, Huggies GoodNites. Her mom and I both hide the package under our respective beds and just keep a few pairs in her dresser drawer with all her "regular" underwear. We don't refer to them as diapers, pull-ups, or anything of the sort, and the fact that the Huggies logo is nowhere on the actual diaper is a godsend. She puts the dirty goodnite in a sealed plastic bag and throws it away every morning, this way her bedwetting is more of a private phenomenon for her. They're incredibly absorbant yet completely unnoticeable under her pj's. She's in one-on-one therapy and, well, she's still a kid whose parents recently split :-\ The bedwetting was almost inevitable, according to the therapist, for a girl her age in her situation who had persistant bedwetting after potty training. It should go away within a year with luck, but in the mean time at least the stigma of it, or of having to wear "actual" diapers for it, is one less hardship she has to endure.

Comments about Huggies Goodnites Underpants for Boys and Girls:

My son is 2 1/2 and the size of a 5/6 yr old (height and weight), so diapers are out of the question! He is potty trainning but not at the stage yet where he can go through the night or nap yet. We found that this product is the only product that we could use that was very, and I mean very absorbant for a big night pee-er (we haven't had a leack through at night since we started using this product...which WE LOVE!!!) We also use it during the day if we are out of the house for long times or in the car for a while. I couldn't say anything bad about the product. It works very well for our needs.

Change from unisex wasn't good
By Autism MomVerified Reviewer from Southern NH on 8/10/2008
Pros:
Highly Absorbent, Soft
Cons:
Poor Fit
Describe Yourself:
Parent of special needs
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Huggies Goodnites Underpants for Boys and Girls:

I was not thrilled when Huggies made the decision to go to boys and girls sizes instead of unisex. It seemed the quality went down, seemed more like a pamper material on the outside and the size didn't fit well.

I have two boys aged 5 and 11 and a girl aged 8. All three of them have or had bedwetting problems. I heard about these from a a friend who's son also has problems keeping dry during the night. I bought them to see how they worked. I tried them out on all three of my kids and they woke the next morning dry as the desert. These are a great buy and they look and feel just like my childrens' briefs.

Comments about Huggies Goodnites Underpants for Boys and Girls:

Your "rules" are a bit confining to me. To say how good this product is, I must disclose a bit of my personal info. I usually wear specially sized cloth diapers. I'm 19 yrs and wear girls size 10-12's. I was born a premmie and never matured, leaving residual bladder control issues. Cloth, is not always an option, IE: While in a Children's Hospital(once accepted they follow through with Y/you). Being 4'8" and73 lbs at my healthy norm . I thought I'd maybe able to help some of the older kids - by letting them know...WE come in ALL sizes and ages. When I found GoodNites for girls...You had basically two choices in disposables...too small OR too large and bulky. GN's had butter-flys if I remember right back then. They had more of a cloth looking outside ( wish they'd bring that back). The Smalls fit me perfect and my second Nite, I didn't have a dread of pp'in the bed sheets and the cold skin from being wet. I could never ever remember having that PEACE of mind...my whole life.

Needless to say, I have turned on numerous friends, sub-specialists / urologists/ neurologists-surgeons to these. I hope that I have helped someone my age or younger, to realize there is no shame. It doesn't make you dumber (depending on which IQ test given, I consistently score 140-144 and a member of 99's and "Gifted Child" Mensa Programs.

Excellent product for larger toddlers
By Happy Mom of 3 from Virginia on 7/5/2008
Pros:
Highly Absorbent, Snug Fit
Best Uses:
older children, Toddlers
Describe Yourself:
Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Huggies Goodnites Underpants for Boys and Girls:

All my children were on the bigger size (very tall and over 45 pounds by age 2) and regular diapers leak when used at night. With my youngest son I was so happy to find these and we started using them when he turned 2 .... we love them! He's not ready for potty training yet, but the pull ups on the market are all too small, so we'll be using these for potty training when the time comes. These fit snugly, they absorb a lot, and my son seems very comfortable in them. Great product for a larger toddler (or older child) who needs extra protection at night!

Occasional leaking
Best Uses:
Disabled children

Comments about Huggies Goodnites Underpants for Boys and Girls:

I have a disabled 7 yr old step son and I will tell you that if you have a child with a disability and they can not use the bathroom on their own....these are most definitly the best product on the market. We tried depends even when he was heavy and they just didnt work (not to mention he hated them)Only bad thing is they occasionally leak but that is more the parents fault than anything else. His only leak when he's had too much to drink or if he's been asleep for a long time at night and they aren't changed right away.

The only bad things I have to say about them is that they have no oder control and when my son whent to a sleep over, the kid there pulled a prank on him that revealed that he wore diapers ,so that realy embarased him and given the fact that they were the the biggest gosseper in his school, everybody started to tease him about wering diapers. overall exelent product. Huggies, you have outdone yourself.

SO nice to find a product that helps my autistic, developmentally delayed daughter, yet doesn't subject her to teasing at school the way diapers would. Wish they came even larger - just in case!

Great for big kids.
By Mommy to 2 girls and 2 boysVerified Reviewer from West Virginia on 3/25/2008
Pros:
Highly Absorbent
Cons:
Looks like a diaper
Best Uses:
Pre-school age and up
Describe Yourself:
Mother of four
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Huggies Goodnites Underpants for Boys and Girls:

I found that while the absorbency is superior to pull-ups, they were just a little too roomy for my toddlers at night. With too much wiggling during the night, there were sometimes leaks due to the loose fit. When they are a little older (age 3 for bigger children and about age 4 for smaller to average-sized children), they work perfectly. These have been a Godsend for me! I have a 6 year old who still needs to wear protection on a nightly basis. I will use nothing but 'Goodnights'. And the great thing is that because the sizing is so generous, the S/M size is still perfect for him. I know that even if he doesn't stay dry through the night for many years to come, the sheets will stay clean. The only bad thing I can say about them isn't really a problem for us yet as we haven't had to deal with sleepovers with friends, but they do resemble a diaper as they are white and paper-feeling. It would be cool if Huggies would design a more underwearish-looking waistband for them, and maybe make them more cloth-like on the outside. These work great though, and are fairly affordable the way they are. My son seems to be very comfortable in them. We did NOT like the new boxer style Huggies came out with. Those were a flop in my opinion. They were made of paper, so looked ridiculous worn alone, and they were too bulky to be worn under pajamas. Bad idea. The underpants are wonderful though, so we will use nothing else.
