My son was a 34 week preemie (4lbs 4.5oz at birth). Everyone rushed out and bought my these diapers since they were made for preemies. I really wished they didn't do that because I had such a horrible time with these. They leaked like crazy. There were many times that my son's clothes were soaked but his diaper was bone dry. I literally had to point his "thing" down in order for them to catch his pee. If they had the stretchy part that made the seal around him they would not have leaked. But since that part of the diaper is missing, they barely worked. I switched to Swaddlers Newborn and just folded them down a bit to fit my son and they worked much better.

Although, they might work better for a girl!

I used these diapers for both of my children because they are the only preemie diapers available at the stores where I live! This was about 4-5 years ago when I used them. I did not have any leak problems at all. I also have used pampers preemie and they do not fit as nicely. I would recommend you contact huggies if you have a problem they will send you a coupon!

These preemie diapers work much better for my boy/girl twins than Pampers. They have a shorter rise and can be stretched wide around for a snug fit around tiny baby tummies. My twins were 3lb 7oz and 4lbs and now weigh well over 4lbs and these diapers are working great for them. We like the softness of the Pampers, but prefer the fit of the Huggies. You have to try both to see which ones fit your baby.

This diaper was horrible. Every time my nefew peed it leaked and got all over whoever was holding him. Several times a day we have had to change his clothes. and wash his bedding. He gets changed 15 times a day, so obviously he is getting changed enough so it should not be leaking. (we go through a 30 pack in 2 days) It was also very big for a preemie diaper and did not fit well around his legs. We have went back to pampers swadlers.

We had frequent leaks with these diapers and would be changing our baby's clothes 3-5 times per day! At first they seemed to fit better than the Pampers Swaddlers, and we were encouraged by that, but after many leaks and clothing changes, we gave up on Huggies.

My hospital NICU used preemie Pampers that worked just great, but I got packages of preemie Huggies as gifts from family. And hey, why knock the freebies!? However... I almost wanted to throw these away, no joke. My poor little girl would have so many total blowouts and leaks that I got tired of doing laundry and cleaning up nasty poops that ran right down her legs. If you want to change your babies' diapers every hour, you might eliminate this, but SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE, honestly.

For those who have said this product leaks, it simply does not work for every infant. I received many diapers from my baby shower. I was using Huggies gentle care on my infant and when i ran out i had no choice but to use different diapers. I used pampers swaddlers, luvs, and parents choice. They all leaked and gave him a horrible rash. I will not put anything else on my baby besides huggies.

These diapers are the worst! my daughter had been using pampers preemies at the hospital but when she came home a friend gave me some huggies preemie diapers so I tried them out. after only 1 hour they leaked through a onesie, sleeper, blanket, and sheet!! I thought maybe it was a fluke and tried them 2 more times, and each time I got the same result. DO NOT buy these diapers!

We found Pampers to work best for our newborn just home from hospital, then to Huggies size Newborn, then back to Pampers size 1, then to Huggies size 1, and have pretty much stuck with Huggies ever since. Pampers and Huggies were both GREAT diapers for us at our son's different weights and sizes, but they both fit a little differently, and may not fit babies of exactly the weights listed on the diaper packages. Huggies ultimately won out once our son was bigger, because they have elastic in the waist band and didn't leak up the back as often. Also, we have once gotten a package where many of the tabs tore off. [...] after all, our son is now 15 months, still in size 3 Huggies, and we've only had one package I think that did that.

My daughter came home at four pounds. They used Pampers preemie diapers in the NICU, and I bought some to use at home. When I ran out, my neighborhood store did not have them, but they had Huggies so I bought a package. Huge mistake. The first time she wore one it leaked. They have leaked a number of times since. They are especially bad at night, if she sleeps more than two hours. These diapers seem able to hold only an hour's worth of urine.

This diaper do not leak! It will leak, however, if you feel that you don't have to change your newborn often. I believe that goes with most diapers. My baby poops and pee like crazy, but I change her every two hours after I feed her. My baby sometimes poops and pee while I'm changing her, but I never seem to have a problem with leakage. It fits perfectly for preemies. My baby was 4lbs and 8oz and a newborn size diaper would not fit, so I was blessed to find a product that she could wear and was comfortable for her.

I bought these to use on my 5 lb. daughter. After using 8 out of the 30 pack I gave up, nearly every time I used one of these diapers she leaked and her entire outfit had to be changed. We have not had any leaks at all using pampers diapers.

My baby weighed 5lbs at birth, and bought the product thinking it was the best due to the unique 'U' shape border at the front of the diaper. However, I realized that the baby's clothes got wet every time HE wet the diaper. I had to change his clothes every time I changed HIS diaper! I then tried Pampers Swaddlers Preemie, and noticed the BIG difference! Pampers brand diapers never leaked on to my baby's clothes, and therefore never had to deal with changing his clothes every time again!

I have always been a pampers mom, Huggies won out over our 5 child after 20 years. Our friend also had a baby at the same time she used generic diapers. Her son would be soaked, all bedding had to be changed 2-3x a day. I tried to explain that in the long run she would save money and not use as many diapers, do so much wash. I hope that my son and partner take our advise and use huggies.
