We had a vicks filter free humidifier and it was so incredibly difficult to clean. I had to throw it out because mold got in the motor and I couldn't get to it to clean it properly. Instead of repurchasing the same filter free vicks, I researched and ended up buying this Crane filter optional. We haven't used a filter with it yet and it keeps my son's nursery quite misted during the night. I love the adjustable mist level (the highest setting had his room foggy!) and the ease of use.

Bought this product for son's runny nose. It was gone the next day. It is unbelievably quiet. Love that you do not need to use a filter. Bleached cleaned it after 1 wk and it never got black mold spots. Love this product.

This thing is adorable and when it works, it works well. Only problem is mine will turn itself off automatically on it's own so after 15 mins of being on I come in and see the red light is on and it is not producing humidity. Maybe I'm doing something wrong here?

I wasn't sure what to expect given all the iffy reviews, but have been very happy with this product. I have a very small nursery and it will last a about 4 days always on a low setting without having to refill it. It's a little hard to clean, but I have only had to clean it once in 3 weeks.

Unlike the other reviewer my husband and I like this humidifier for our son's room.
It does get REAL dirty. But I only have to clean it totally(the entire thing) once a week. If you don't do that pick icky mold develops) But that is with any product. Not just these Crane humidifiers. They are really cute and safe for your little one also. My only recomendation is to place a few teaspoons of bleach in the base and saok for a few minutes at the least ONCE per week. Thne it will flow just fine and have nice clean mist coming out

This humidifier is very quiet and easy to fill. I have had two of these. The first one just stopped working one day, not too happy about that. Decided to buy a new on and I kind of wish I didn't. It is really hard to clean. If you do not drain the water out every time you will end up with lime scale, rust and other yucky stuff. If you don't mind emptying the water out every morning than I would recommend this product.
