Just bought this chair for my 2 year old and he loves it! I think we will use it in highchair mode for another 6-12 months. I like that it has a tray now and can adjust to a sit at the table chair when he's ready. Very sturdy and well built. Easy to put together too! I did most of it while holding my 3 month old. Just bought another one for her to use when she starts eating solids in a few months.

We LOVE this chair. It's such a challenge to find great products for the baby that are also stylish. We expected that when we bought style, we'd sacrifice some function. SO not true.

Here are the pluses:
- much smaller than we expected, which is wonderful. The infant guard and straps hold our baby snug - she's 26 wks old and not yet reliably sitting up on her own.
- SUPER easy to install - only a phillips screwdriver required, no power tools.
- easy to clean - very streamlined design, there are no crevices for food to catch in. The finish is polished so food wipes right off.
- tray hangs off the back so the chair can be pulled right up to the table when it's not being used.
- easy to open/close to put baby in/pull baby out with one hand
- very lightweight - easy to drag around, the cut out in the back is great because it won't bump your legs if you carry it. Also, it doesn't fold, so it won't start to collapse if you try to drag it.
- Height is perfect - no reaching up or down to feed baby, she's right at table-level
- easy harness - easy to clip on and easy to release

The bad:
- it doesn't fold - but, it looks like furniture, not baby gear, so it's not like you'd have to hide it away when company visits.
- it is wood, so the cushion is a must have for babies for their comfort. The cushion is gorgeous too - no tacky 'baby' patterns - easy to install, and food wipes right off. It's machine washable, but I haven't done that yet because everything so far has come off with a rag
- it's pricey, but for us, totally worth it. It's gorgeous, and well-made, and we know our daughter will be able to use it for years

WOW! I love the Svan High chair![...] The chair is absolutely beautiful. Very compact, just the right size for my small house. I am on a very tight budget, but this chair was the ONLY one big investment I made for this, my last baby. Well, this High chair was well worth the price, since it's meant to last for many, many years..it will still be useful after this new baby is a teen or even an adult! Since I am not having more kids, this chair was the best choice, so I do not have to get rid of it in just a couple of years, plus it matches my black dining table! VERY GOOD ITEM! VERY STYLISH TOO!

Love this chair! We use this chair 3 times a day, my son who is now 15 months has since about 7.5 months been able to sit comfortably throughout meals. We have another highchair at my inlaws (a plastic one) and my son will only sit in it for short periods (5min max) so it makes meal time difficult. I love that it matches our style and looks like a great piece of furniture rather than another plastic baby thing in our house. Because it is wood the screws do occasionaly have to be tightened, but it's really simple with the tool they give. Also, I had an issue with the crotch bars finish wearing (we have the mahogany finish) and they happily sent me a replacement, the 2 year warrenty is fab. Pretty soon we will be using it as a booster with out the tray, so we really are getting our moneys worth.

This is a great chair. The size is perfect for my daughter who sits in it very comfortably; she is a large 8 month old who is over 20 lbs. She looks happy whenever she is in it. The plastic tray takes a little practice but it's not that bad. The wood is very easy to maintain and clean. I definitely recommend getting the cushions to make it a comfy seat. I looked into this and the tripp trapp and this was the much better deal. The bonus is that it is beautiful.

I love this chair! The grandparents have other types of high chairs and this one is by far the best. Not only does it look great, my daughter will sit in it without complaint. I have disassembled it in order to do a thorough cleaning, and never had any loose screws, there is only one my daughter could reach from the seat... I am nothing short of delighted with this chair!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this chair! It's slim and sturdy, and looks much more like a stylish piece of furniture than a highchair. And the best part about it is that it grows with your child. Unlike most options out there, this chair allows baby to have free range of motion while still being securely strapped in. And when they get older it serves as a great alternative to a booster seat. My favorite shower gift by far. I highly recommend it!

This high chair is great in our small apartment. It is easy to move around and my daughter is comfortable in it. The design of the high chair is nice and goes well in the living area of our apartment. The chair cover is also a bonus but I made the mistake of selecting a light color and it gets dirty quickly. I know several people who have this chair and like it. The screws on the highchair do loosen over time and need to be tightened regularly.

We chose this highchair because of the size and style. I loved that it dd not take up so much space in my small apartment and I liked the wood look better than the plastic options. The problems with it are: The plastic tray is very difficult to remove. The screws become loose after about 2 months, depending on how squirmy your child is. My 20 month son only sits in it for meal time and it has totally fallen apart on us. The screws fall out leaving the highchair unsafe. My son has even pulled out som of the screws on his own. We wasted our money on this and now we are going to have to buy another high chair as I have a second on the way and I want a safer, more conveniant option. I hope nobody else has to waste their money and energy on this product.
