This seat arrived today and, I must say, it's very plush and beautiful. I placed my 8m son in it and he looked very snug and comfortable in it, even happy. I then took it into my van and just wanted to see how it fit. Without properly installing it I can tell it's way too big. The front passenger will have to sit very upright. Another problem is that the sides are very high for "side impact protection". Great for safety...annoying every time I have to hoist my 25 pound baby over them without hitting his head on the ceiling. I'm sure this seat it among the safest. However, I have to draw the line somewhere. It's just not practical for me. At some point, I have to rely on the safety of the vehicle I carefully chose. I mean, having him completely inclosed in a bubble would be safe but lets face it, it's not practical. For as many times as I'm in and out of the car with him in an average day, I need a seat that's easier to access. And also, the seat itself is wide but the actual sitting room is narrow. Not sure if it would do the trick for long. In a nutshell, if you are a "safety first" person then YES I would recommend this seat.

I just got my seat and installed it. My daughter is 1yr and 19lbs. She fits great and everything adjusts easily to her height. It is very padded and plush. I like the latch system on this seat, its very easy to use. I drive a Pacifica and the middle seats are bucket, so they angle down some. I placed a folded towel under the front of the seat while rear facing and it leveled it right out. I was easily able to pull the latch straps to tighten the seat, and it was very securely fastened. I look forward to using this seat.

We just purchased this Car Seat for our son. I have spent almost a year researching makers, brands, safety features, design, etc!!! Everything we wanted we found in the Recaro Signo!! I had found and looked at this Car Seat at a local Upscale Baby Boutique! It was priced at nearly $300.00, We almost brought it because it was the only local store we could find it at. My husband is not so big on buying from ONLINE, yet I convinced him I could find it better priced Online, so he bet me I couldn't! Well I did, here on diapers.com. At almost 1/2 the price. I am so very happy with this car seat it meets all of our, wants, needs, and safety requirements!!!! Recaro makes excellent cars seats, they really pay attention to all the Details. I am extremely happy with THIS purchase!!! I will be looking to upgrade when my son gets older to another RECARO product!

The only thing I was sad about is that the price did not include this car seat in sand... would have matched the LEATHER in my car perfectly. But I can learn to deal!!! :)

This car seat is very safe, easy to install and sturdy but for parents who live in hot weather like Florida I wouldnt reccommend it, is too hot for the poor baby that material is made off and thas is the reason Im returning it and chaging it for Britax. This car seat will be perfect for people who live in other cold places but soo much padding and that material makes the baby sweat in seconds and is also difficult to clean. The rest is all good, very similar to Britax.

We own two Subaru WRX wagons and have searched high and low to find a car seat that would fit our cars. We found this car seat in a search for the "smallest car seats". It certainly isn't the smallest, but boy is it safe! Our son loves this seat! He falls asleep so easily in it, it is so plush! The material does hold a bit of heat since it is microfiber, so it isn't the coolest feeling seat, but safety comes first in our family! I was stuck between a Britax Boulevard and this car seat, but the other day I wandered into another store and found a Britax someone had returned. I am so glad we got the Recaro! The Britax is NOTHIING compared to the Recaro! The padding can't be beat, and the fact that it is made by a company who specializes in racing seats, come on...need I say more!!!!

I researched convertible car seats for days. I thought Britax was the way to go until I came across Recaro. My first thought was, "They make race car seats?! Why doesn't every parent own one of these?!" Obviously, the fact that Recaro makes race car seats was a huge selling point for me. And the close out price I got on diapers.com was amazing!!! I ordered two, one for each car. Upon, receiveing them I was so impressed right away. The car seat actually looks like a mini race car seat! Lots of really nice soft padding and really deep side wings. It is a little large, but what do you expect from a seat that accomadates a 70lb child! We drive a Ford Explorer and a Ford Edge and the seat fits nicely rear facing in both vehicles(we haven't tried front facing yet). We did use a pool noodle under the car seat, but that's no big deal--you can't even see it. The seat does sort of block the rear window a little (not the rear windshield, but the rear window) but I think that will resolve once we turn the seat front facing. Also, because of the deep side wings, it's not as easy transfering my daughter in and out of the seat, but I'll take safety over convienence any day! My daughter seems to really like it, too. I was a little worried about the deep side wings blocking her view, and it does a little, but she doesn't seem to mind. I would rather have her protected during a side impact crash than to be able to see clearly out of the window! I would recommend this car seat to any parent. Your child's life is worth any amount of money. And you will gain peace of mind knowing your child is as safe as possible!

i LOVE this seat. . it fits very well in my Nissan Altima coupe, a little snug, but thats what you get with a coupe. Its very safe and snug, and my daughter likes it more than her boulevard, a lot less fussing. It fits well in our EVO VIII and suzuki XL7 also. I def prefer this seat over the boulevard for comfort and price!

I bought this car seat and installed rear-facing. I liked it because it installs really tight... solid as a rock, but it is too high and it is really difficult to get the baby in and out on the rear-facing position. I ended up returning it and getting the Radian 80 instead

I love this car seat. I bought it in blush for our daughter and the color is so cute. My husband is into car racing and is was so excited when he saw "baby racing seats". It fits perfectly in our Subaru STi. I know that our daughter is in a safe and reliable seat!!!!

This car seat is very well-padded unlike the cheap ones that you can easily feel what's underneath it. This car seat gave me the peace of mind that my son is safe and comfortable when we're traveling. This is well padded seat that fits into your larger size vehicle. The only draw backs are its straps are bad to twist and the fabric traps heat and makes our baby sweat.
