Love this car seat! We got it when my son was four months old, and have been using it for five months now. He has always seemed comfortable in it, and it is really easy to adjust as he gets taller. The click and safe feature is not always accurate, though, so it's not worth the extra money. It is really nice looking, too. The lighter part of the fabric is actually just light gray and not greenish like it looks in the photo (on my monitor, anyway). The seat was easy to install, and it doesn't budge at all.

If you are purchasing a car seat like this, check the seated shoulder height of your baby first. The minimum bottom to shoulder height on this one is 10.5 inches, so a lot of 5 lb. infants would be too short for this seat.

This seat is amazing. We call it "Cow Tank" because unlike the last seat we had for our 4 month old, this one lockes into place and doesn't budge. My husband jokes that it is our Secret Weapon because our son falls asleep in it minutes after hitting the road and doesn't fuss when we strap him in. We love the way it looks, it's one of the safest available, and well worth the money!

Great seat. Have been using for our son starting at 11 months when he outgrew his Chicco Keyfit 30 infant carrier. Have only used forward facing. Takes time to install, especially the first time but after a few times it gets easier. Not the best seat for moving in between vehicles often. I purchased Britax because of the safety ratings and consumer reviews. I haven't washed this yes but it doesn't look like it's going to be a breeze. In fact, I don't think it's machine washable from what I've read. The material is nice, soft and good quality so far. The seat if very heavy. Will be very tight fit, if it fits at all in small cars. I have a toyota highlander and with his seat, it is a tight squeeze for two others to buckle into the seats in his row. We have a sunshine kids seat also, the one where you are able to put three seats next to each other comfortably (can't remember the name) but he dislikes that as it sits very straight up, has little cushioning and no sides, it's a sturdy seat but definitely not comprable to the Britax...at least not yet. I think in a few years the sunshine kids may fit better. Regardless, this britax is awesome, my husband wishes we would have gotten two of these but it would have taken too much room in the back of his VW Jetta. That's the only reason we went with the narrower sunshine kids. :-( The click feature you pay more for is unecessary. save the money and just get the regular straps unless you don't know how to harness a child in properly.

I've been using this seat for over 7 months now, since my daughter was born. I wanted the safest seat for my baby and a convertible one, and even though I paid [$], I've never once regreted the purchase. The peace of mind this seat gives me is great. My little girl loves to sleep in it -huge plus!! The CS feature is hard to use. It is kind of bulky in our prius but that's what makes it safe. Go to seatcheck.org and have a professional install the seat for you. It's free and you can be sure it's done right. If you often travel by plane, you'll need another portable car seat, this one is too heavy. Or you can always rent a car with a seat, but it's good to know that car rental places will not install their car seat for you (liability...)

We got this seat for our 8 month old son. I am happy with the seat and my son is very comfortable in it. I love the safety features and feel like we couldn't ask for a better seat in that regard. Adjusting the harness height is easy, and it was easy to install. We did a 14 hour trip, and both ways he napped like a champ and was quite happy in the seat. His head does not slump over like it was starting to do in his infant seat, and he looks comfortable and happy.

My only complaint would be in the rear-facing installation, it is nearly impossible to adjust the harness tightness. The seat is flush with the vehicle seat and I have to use two hands to pull the harness adjuster upward because there is no room to pull it outward. I rarely pull to the point of the "click" for the Click and Safe feature because frankly, it is exhausting and impossible! I am sure when we forward face eventually, that will get easier. However, I am planning to do extended rear-facing so it will probably be awhile until I get that pleasure.

Overall, great seat and I am happy with my purchase.

I purchased this item in 2007 for my eldest daughter is going to be 3 this month! I used it first rear facing as she was not yet 1 when I bought it. She loves it. Our family is 3 hours away by car and she didn't fuss as much riding in this compared to her infant carrier. It offers material for a comfy seat and is easily washed by machine (which was a HUGE plus when potty training)and is easy to opperate. I have purchased other car seats for different family members transporting my daughter short distances and have not been as happy with the way the cover removes *some need a screwdriver* or color selection or over all quality. We have been using it for two years now and just recently had another little girl. They only down side is that kinda cash again so soon...but it's well worth it!!

(forward facing)I use this car seat for my 1 year old son. He is tall at 35 inches and 28 lbs. He is very comfortable in this car seat and does not complain about it. He often falls asleep in it :-)It was a stinker to install compared to my infant seat (chicco keyfit30) but it was fine since there is a video on the britax website. It's a good starter video, my vehicle did not work in quite the same way the video said to do the hook up. I drive a Toyota Highlander and it fits fine. There is adequate room for the child and the passengers alongside the seat and for the front passenger. The material is nice and soft. I've read the cover is not machine washable so if thats true it's a bummer. [...]. All in all, very happy with the carseat as it is the best rated for safety and I can't have any complains about that!

I bought this for my son when he got too big for the Britax Companion. I was worried about spending the money, but I have to say that it was worth it. Just like the companion, the baby LOVES it--whether he's looking outside or snoozing, he's in a little throne. It was so easy to install, and is super safe and solid the way it cozies-in around him. Easy to get baby in and out, too. The Clink-n-Safe feature is great because it takes the guessing out of the tightness, and it was also easy to teach my parents how tight it needed to be when they took him. Some unanticipated pluses: 1) being able to adjust the neck support without taking anything apart, 2) being able to remove the shoulder pads without taking anything apart, 3) the armpit buckle is soft rubber so bottle spills don't stick to it and it's soft on baby's chin, 4) the fabric is soft upholstery--like a sofa--feels good on baby's face (we bought the Berkshire Tan). Only negative is that it's really big in a small car...ok in my CRV but too big for my husband's Subaru Legacy. We have a Maxi-Cosi Priori for him, but the Britax is way easier and to me, more solid. Probably one of the best investments I've made.

Bought this two weeks ago for my tenth month old who was getting too tall for the infant seat. From the first moment he sat in the seat he loved it! He just sits there with a smile on his face. I think he likes being up high and looking out the window. Installation was easy because Britax has videos and charts on their website. The price is a bit high, but the safety was most important to me.
