too loud and difficult to install/close

This was difficult to install at the top of the stairs since it was going from wall to a curved bannister. Now that it's installed, the gate is very loud (not fun making noise when the baby is sleeping nearby) and difficult to close. Would not buy again, and I'm now looking for something better to replace it with.

Great gate for stairs

Adjusts around molding, Secure lock but easy open, Wide entry
Cons:
CHEAP breakable screws, Installation kinda tricky
Best Uses:
Stairs top or bottom

These are great gates for the stairs. Installation was not too bad--comes with a template (to tape onto your wall) so you don't have to measure. One major complaint: we have 5 of these gates installed in our (large) home, and on almost all of them the screws provided snapped in HALF (?!?) while we were screwing them. We had to replace the KidCo screws with longer, better quality screws.
