Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

The Moby Wrap is one of the best pieces of baby gear I've used for my two-month-old baby. It cuts down my daughter's evening fussing dramatically (she would sometimes cry for an hour or two -- after we started putting her in the Moby at that time of day, she would often calm down instantly and fall asleep). If you feel daunted by the wrapping process, I can attest that it comes to seem very natural after you've done it a few times. Yes, you can feel like a cult member donning robes while you're wrapping yourself, but it's extremely comfortable once it's on. The only downside is that the ends of the wrap will touch the ground while you wrap yourself, so it's not a great thing to put on when you're out in public or anywhere without a clean floor. But it's fantastic for home use - my daughter loves to take her daytime naps in it.

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

This is very good escpecially if there are chores around the house that have to be done. Going through airports with this is good especially when you are going through security.
Can sometimes be a small struggle when you are trying to put it on and keep it from touching the ground. Not so comfortable if you are pregnant back to back. Putting a 9 month old in this while you are 5 months pregnant is NOT a good idea.

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

I'd heard pretty good things about this style of carrier & thought I'd give it a shot. I had the Baby Bjorn w/ my first & HATED it & sadly, I'm not a fan of this one either.
It was ok when my baby was brand-new, but it was tricky to put on & once he was over 10 lbs, it got to be uncomfortable.
A friend lent me her THING-A-MA-SLING & I was sold! I bought one for myself that same day! My son is now 25 lbs & I still wear him in it for hours at a time, every day!

Best baby carrier...I had another front carrier and hated it, it really made my back hurt. The moby has a learning curve but once you try it a couple of times it's really comfortable and baby loves it. Helps you gets some things done if you have a baby that likes to be held all the time. I recommend watching a video online as to how to put the wrap on it was really helpful to me.

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

We currently own three carriers and this is the most comfortable. I recommend using this when the baby is an infant and still cannot hold up their head. It was a little difficult to put on until you get the hang of it. After a few tries it was easier to put on. We used this all the time to walk the dogs. We got the other Chicco one because my daughter's dad refused to use this one. He saw a man struggling with it in the bathroom at the airport. I wouldn't recommend this for that type of travel, but for everything else, yes I would! It feels like you're wearing a t-shirt! It's so comfortable and the baby seems to be content in it!

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

My three-month-old falls asleep almost instantly every time I put him in the Moby. People stop me in stores to ask what it is because he is so calm and happy in it. It helped me to be so much more mobile with him, I can do things around the house and take him anywhere with him bundled up on my chest. I love it!

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

I used this with my newborn daughter because she just wanted to be held ALL the time, and as a new mom I wanted to be able to hold her all the time. She was so snuggly in this and just loved it. Much better for a newborn than the baby bjorn or similar products. It gives better support, comfort and closeness. I even nursed her in it a few times.

It also made travel easier- I couldn't have made it through so many airplane flights without it. Gives you use of your hands while snuggling your babe. Easy to use, one size fits all, wonderful. There did come a time (around 6-8 months?) when she didn't like it anymore- too restrictive or something, she'd try to squirm out. I haven't tried it on my back, I've seen some people like that for their toddlers. I'm expecting in a couple weeks and plan on using this every day again!

I love it so much I want to buy one for every friend of mine who's expecting!

Amazing wrap!

Takes time to wrap

Infants, Newborn

Bottom Line:

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

My baby boy never becomes fussy whenever he's on the wrap. Why didn't I find out about this with my 2 older daughters?!? Aside from the precious bonding time I have with my son when he's on the wrap, I am still able to assist my girls without much difficulty. It just takes a little more time to complete the wrap compared to other slings & sometimes it feels like it gets a little loose, especially if my son had been on it for a couple hours. But overall, I love the moby wrap! Our bonding time is priceless!

Baby loves it
By CarokasVerified Reviewer from Santa Cruz, CA on 8/18/2009

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

I got the Moby when my baby boy was 2 weeks old, and he loved it from the get go. He's a reluctant napper, so whenever I want him to sleep more than 1 hr in a row, I put him in it and he immediately falls asleep. It can get a little warm though, so it is best to have your baby wear just a onesie and diaper, or just a diaper when in the wrap. And it does take practice to learn how to use it, but once you master it, it's easy (check the maker's website for video tutorials). It's great for traveling or public places because it keeps your baby close to you at all times, and baby can get some 'privacy' by tucking his head sideways (baby's ear on your chest) in the wrap. My baby sometimes protest right after I put him in, but he usually calms down right away by giving him his pacifier. Lastly, the Moby fits both my husband and me and is compatible with breastfeeding.

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

This really is the most comfortable baby carrier, and for the best price! Before this I exclusively used my Baby Bjorn- but would end up sore for days if I carried my son for more than an hour (even with the extra lumbar support). With the Moby I have not had any soreness and can do even more while wearing it. (You can even do yoga and other exercises with it on.) I also really like that I can discreetly breastfeed with it on. I have a big baby, and the moby works better for both of us. There is one downside: in the front facing position they recommend the baby's feet are in the lotus position, which my baby does not like as well as with the legs dangling. Otherwise, it is perfect!

This is NOT Worth the Money!
By Experienced MamaVerified Reviewer from Iowa on 7/31/2009
Cons:
One size does NOT fit all, Too complicated, Too loose of a fit, Too much fabric
Best Uses:
Not a good use
Describe Yourself:
Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

This product was incredibly difficult to put on and was very loose - it did not feel secure for my infant! To make it tighter I needed another person to wrap and one to hold the baby. The extra fabric would make putting this on outside awful and it was very warm when it was on - that was without the baby. Lastly, as someone who is about 215 lbs, this wrap barely fit. It definitely was not going to fit my husband and I wish that there was some sort of sizing option for this because all of that extra fabric on the models... well, that wasn't going to happen.

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

I have tried many different infant carriers, and finally bought the Moby wrap. Best purchase I have ever made. My bad no longer hurts, and I can hold my baby in it for hours. I have also put my 2 y/o on my back using the wrap. It does take some practice putting it on, but it is so worth it.

Way too hard to put on. Takes forever to figure out, particularly if you have a crying baby on your hands. Feels like the baby is just going to slip out and fall on the floor. AAARRRGGG!

I bought and tried almost every carrier and sling known to mankind.... this is the ONLY one I use now, I will never use another. It helps so much with colic and I love being hands free, this by far is the best your money can buy!

Comments about Moby Wrap - Natural:

I got the wrap when my son was 2 months. He never like the wrap much because he likes to move around, he would only stay in it for maybe 10mins max. However, I think baby girl like the wrap more than boy. It is a great wrap to start on especially for preemie or newborn.
