Love this seat. It clips onto your existing toliet It comes with a piece that goes under the screws then the seat pops on and that is it. Never had any guests have a problem figuring it out, and It't my kids' favorite toliet. Need to get another one for upstairs.

Comments about Safety 1st One Step Trainer Seat:

We purchased this item despite the poor reviews. When it arrived, my husband installed it and it works wonderfully! It is compact, and flips up for adults to use the same toilet without dealing with a bulky potty seat. We have a small bathroom, and not much storage, so this is really the perfect solution! I love that you can even close the toilet lid with the seat attached and it works!

I would not recommend this product. We had to buy a new toilet seat because it didn't fit with the oblong shape toilet seat we had. And the opening is too small for my small 3-year-old daughter. Pee gets all over the place.

Comments about Safety 1st One Step Trainer Seat:

This works really well as my potty training daughter wants to use the big toilet like mommy and daddy.
It is easy to lift the lid when my husband wants to use the toilet. It is also great for travel. My daughter refuses to use the small baby bjorn potty that we have for her.
The only drawback is that it won't work for all toilets- you have to have a standard size seat, no elongated or peculiar shapes.

Comments about Safety 1st One Step Trainer Seat:

I love this. I have 2 girls 3yr and 2 year. My 2 year old is just starting to potty train and insists on using the big potty like sister. The sit on seat covers moved around a bit when she was climbing up and would scare her. She loves this one. My only complaint is no matter how hard I try I cannot seem to get it to stay up right for adult use. I think I will be putting a small magnet underneath to fix it. It's still worth it for the toddler ease of use. And the Price was great!

My child goes to a big daycare school where they have child cized toilets to potty train with. I had previously purchased a cute little plastic (traditional - the kind with a seat, a cup, and a base) potty chair for her to use at home. She didnt want to use the potty chair at home and was getting confused. With this insert lid... shes making alot of progress!

                        This seat is awesome.
I know there are some toilets that would not work with this potty chair because I used to have an oblong shaped seat that did not fit well with it. Also, if your lid does not allow enough room near the bolts, it will not work.

Fortunately, I now have a seat that does work with it, and I love it. It is so easy to use, just lower the seat when your child needs to use it and lift it up and out of the way when they're done. When the lid is down, you can't even tell there's a potty seat there. Best of all, there's no clean up, just flush the toilet!

This did not fit on any of our 3 toilets The hinge bracket openings are about 5 1/2" apart so check your toilets first to make sure they'll fit under your anchor bolts.
