These are not the most sturdy things. I'm purchasing my second pack right now. However, they get the job done and they're cheap. You stick them on and it prevents the kid from turning the gas on. If the kid rips the cover off, the knob comes with it (which happens) but guess what...they still can't turn on the gas. When they hit the tile, they crack. Hence the second pack.

Bottom line, buy some extra - they're cheap and they work.

These were effective at preventing my toddler from turning on the stove. He would play with them, and try to turn them, but these covers prevented the stove knobs from moving. I also liked that these came five in a package, as some of the other brands only have four covers. Our stove has five knobs so we needed the extra one. Unfortunately, about six months after installation, two of the five covers have snapped off right at the hinge. We are a family of two adults and do an average amount of cooking, so I am disappointed in the short life-span. Buy these only if you are willing to replace after a short period of use.

My son has also already figured out how to open these knobs. I can't say that they were made to prevent kids from opening them

DO NOT PURCHASE THESE. If you can't find another product and must get these then purchase two packs. You'll need two packs because at least one of these will break on you within a few weeks.

the first one broke when the stove door closed on one of them when it was opened (our fault). BUT two more of these broke within 5 months of regular adult use, snapping at the hinge. I'm going to look for another brand.

These covers do not fit the knobs on my Viking stove. They are unusable.

I was weary of this product due to the reviews, however I am SOOOOO happy that I decided to try it for myself!! These are FABULOUS!! They keep my son who was absolutely obsessed with the knobs on the stove (and the dishwasher) SAFE!! He walks by them every once in a while and spins them but now I know he can't turn the gas on without mommy knowing. Thank you for a wonderful product!!! (the dishwasher & stove latches are GREAT too!!) A tip though, we ended up screwing the dishwasher latch onto the cupboard next to it to secure it because the tape fell off within a few days.

So far three of these covers have broken and we installed them only a few months ago. Seeing how often we actually use the stove (not all that much) they should last years! I am very disappointed in this product and hope I can find a better one to replace on our knobs. All three broke in my hand when I was either trying to close it or open it with very little force.

Our 11 month old has already figured out how to open these up. The only up side is that he is more fascinated with the covers than the knobs themselves, but still, not very effective.

This product is easy to install, and I guess technically it works, but they covers are too big! They catch on the over door when we open it, and somehow they fly INTO the oven when they get pulled off. Of course, we are usually opening the oven to bake something, so it is hot in there, and fishing out the plastic knobs and covers from a 350 deg oven while the child is running around is less than ideal. I would not recommend this product except we weren't able to find anything else that worked at all.

These are a lifesaver! With 15 month old twins who are into everything especially in the kitchen these are fantastic. Easy to install and use. The twins now have no interest in the covers and the covers are also sturdy enough as they have survived the tugging and pulling so far...Highly recommended!

Neither my husband or I could open these when we wanted to turn on the stove. We ended up removing the knobs on the stove and still could not open the covers! Definitely too hard to use.

Used this for months now with no problems whatsoever! The tiny tot now keeps her hands to herself---I think she actually forgotten about touching the stove. They work for me. No probs!!

The covers get quite hot when we use our oven. Also they are big so they hang down and are very loose. But, I guess it is better than nothing.
