  • bumGenius One Size Cloth Diaper 3.0 - Grasshopper

New & Improved 3.0 includes newborn insert and one-size insert

The first cloth diaper loved by every-day people is even better!

    New 3.0 features:

*Redesigned stretchy tabs - trimmer, yet snug and comfortable

*Wider slot - easier stuffing and removing insert

*New insert stopper - keeps clothes dry

*Return of the extra-small - fold down insert stopper for shorter rise

*Bundled with newborn insert - less bulk for little babies

*Grippier hook and loop - stays put and looks good

Cloth diapering has never been so easy!

bumGenius! one-size cloth diapers offer an industry first, stretch- to-fit tabs (patent pending). The redesigned tabs provide a comfortable fit and trim look. This simple design makes cloth diapering as easy as using disposables. bumGenius! one-size cloth diapers are perfect for care providers who might be resistant to cloth diapering (including daycares and dads)!

    Less Clutter

bumGenius! One-Size Cloth Diapers easily fit babies from 7 pounds up to 35 pounds. One diaper for multiple children simplifies laundry and the diaper drawer. No more sorting by size or having to carry multiple diapers when going out. Three snap-downs on the front of the diaper (patent pending) adjust the rise as your baby grows. For newborns, fold down the insert stopper for an extra-small rise.

    Highly Absorbent

The bumGenius one-size cloth diaper is one-size off the shelf. In addition to the regular insert, we are including a newborn insert/booster with all version 3.0 diapers. The newborn insert is designed to reduce bulk for small babies. When the baby outgrows the newborn insert, it works great as an overnight booster or extra absorbancy for a heavy wetter.

Only the Best for Your Baby

The soft, waterproof outer fabric keeps the diaper just as trim on a newborn setting as it is on a toddler. Soft, sueded inner fabric wicks moisture away from your baby's skin. Super stretchy, ultra gentle leg and back elastic with rolled out casings keep the yuk in and to help keep red marks away. Plus, our unique covered (patent pending) pocket opening keeps wetness completely off of your baby. After the diaper has been used, you can even avoid messes in your wet bag by rolling the diaper up and fastening the tabs before storage!

    Care Instructions

-Shake solids into toilet and store in dry pail
    -Remove insert before washing
-Fasten tabs to laundry tabs on inside of diaper.
-Wash warm, hot or cold with 1/4 cup additive free detergent.
-Rinse well with another full wash cycle on hot.
    -Tumble dry medium.
    -No bleach, no fabric softeners

Comments about bumGenius One Size Cloth Diaper 3.0 - Grasshopper:

This is by far the best cloth diaper we have found. It is a little more expensive than other diapers we have bought, but that is way off set by the fact that it is one size and the fact that we can use it overnight without worrying that the moisture will be held up against our son's skin. We love this diaper and wish we had bought it first because we would not have wasted our money on the other types!

As compared to g diapers, these make no sense. You have to wash the outside and the liner ever time. With gDiapers you only have to change out the liner every time.

I just started cloth diapering my third child and the Bumgenius are my favorite.
These wash well, dry fast and have never leaked.
My son is a heavy wetter so at night I put two inserts in the pocket and place a doubler against his skin in the diaper. No leaks yet!
I have to admit I was apprehensive about cloth diapering let alone cloth diapering for naps and night time. I am no longer apprehensive. These diapers are the best!!

Great diaper. I only have one and want more. I use this over night on my son, who sleeps 8+ hours. He wakes up in the morning without that "soggy" feeling that he was getting from the plastic diapers. I use the infant insert with the regular insert for extra absorbency. I love the size changes on this diaper. It also fits my toddler, so perfect for a growing kid.

I love these diapers!! We're still building up our stash of cloth diapers so we can CD all of the time, but at [$] each it will take us a while. These are well worth the money though. We have tried many different types and these are the easiest to use, easiest to clean (just remember to use the laundry tabs), and easiest to "deal with" (no snaps or sized elastics) that we've found.

We tried a hybrid diaper with flushable inserts and were very disappointed with the amount of leaks we had. We found disposable diapers easy to deal with at that point. Now 7 months later we have finally switched to cloth and are so happy we did. We love bumgenius diapers, they are very comfy, they do not leak (we had major leaks even with the disposables), and easy to care for. At some point you realize as a parent, poop is part of the job! We are also using another brand of pocket diaper and find they work great too. If you are considering going cloth, do it! You won't be sorry!!

Comments about bumGenius One Size Cloth Diaper 3.0 - Grasshopper:

We started using these diapers for our son from day one and at first we were very pleased. We originally bought 12 but ended up purchasing 5 more. This allowed us to launder them once every two days without running out of clean diapers.
After about two months, the laundry tabs (the "loop" side of the velcro) started to fray and caused to other tab (the "hook" side of the velcro) to collect strings and lint. Thus, if you wanted a good latch when baby was wearing the diaper, you had to clean the hook side of the velcro, a HUGE pain, or they wouldn't close well and the diapers would all stick to each other in the washer/dryer.
After about five months, the elastic in the legs started to lose its stretch, making the diapers sag and leak, especially at night.
After about eight months, the diapers just broke down. They seemed too small, leaked often, and were a drag to launder. Baby was big at this point, about 15-17 lbs., but not huge, and we couldn't imagine the diapers fitting him or lasting much longer. We switched to disposables at about 10 months.
We thought the one-sizers were initially a good investment, much cheaper than disposables, and we were extremely happy to not generate the garbage. But their eventual break-down made me wish I had used another brand with snaps instead of velcro closures, or considered different sizes, which would have been more expensive.

Comments about bumGenius One Size Cloth Diaper 3.0 - Grasshopper:

I've tried gDiapers, Happy Heiny's, Flips and bumGenius. BumGenius are my FAVORITE! gDiapers and Happy Heinys leak EVERY single time. But bumGenius and Flip are just awesome, I use them both, bumGenius for daytime and as daddy's diaper, flip for outings (because they don't take up as much room in the diaper bag) and for nighttime (although I've used bumGenius at night, and they worked great too).

I started using them a little over 3 months ago. My little guy was 3 months old and 13 pounds, and I had it snapped down to the smallest setting. I changed it to the medium setting just a couple weeks ago, at about 6 months and 17 pounds. They are so easy to put on. They wash well, I hang the diapers to dry, and throw the inserts in the dryer. Both dry quickly, even in the winter. I never have leaks (and I had leaks constantly when I used disposables during those first few newborn months) and I've never had a blowout. Plus, as long as they are stuffed and ready to go, daddy has no problem using them.

I can't say how quickly the velcro or laundry tabs will wear out. But I did buy 2 used diapers, and had to replace the velcro on them. I purchased a replacement kit from the manufacturer, and had no problem sewing the new velcro on. The diaper works (and looks) good as new!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these diapers! And I could very easily see myself using them for a future child, or reselling them, as they have great resale value.

I have these, gDiapers and a motherese. BG are my favorite! They fit the best and the absorbency is more customizable. Microfiber towels from the bigbox stores work well as inserts and are inexpensive. I like my gDiapers, but they tend to shift and leak on my little one. BG stay put!

Comments about bumGenius One Size Cloth Diaper 3.0 - Grasshopper:

Ok, so this is a pocket diaper which is nice because you can adjust the amount of padding in case your little one is a heavy wetter, but unfortunatly this diapers comes with very thin pads so you would have to buy more pad of their brand to just get a regular obsorbancy. I own this Bum Genius and also the BG AIO (All-in-one, for those new to the cloth diapering thing.) The pocket leaks if you use the provided pad, but if you use a pad from the FuzziBunz brand pocket diapers, which I also have a lot of and like a lot better, then they don't leak. I only use this diaper when I send my son to the nursery at our church because they use mostly volunteers and they tend to look at a cloth diaper and freak out because they've become so programed to take a diaper off and throw it away and to just velcro a new one on the baby! You will, however, have to replace the velcro pretty quickly. I've been using this diaper for 9 mos and the velcro is already starting to have tremendous wear.I would be suprised if the velcro lasted another year. Now BG will send you new velcro for a fee, but I figure that I've already paid for a diaper that cost almost $20 why do I need to keep paying on it! I use mostly my FuzziBunz pocket diapers, the inside is softer, it never leaks, it comes with all the pads you'll need, has lifetime snaps (never need replacing) so those diapers would last more than one kid and is more comfortable, also they are way mor adjustable than BG so they will fit your child all the way to the day they no longer need to wear diapers. I can't say the same about BG diapers, not very adjustable and not very soft. So bottom line, unless you have people that are impossible to train how to snap some snaps that need to change your baby, and you don't mind replacing velcro every year or two, then Fuzzibunz would be a better deal.

We have two in diapers and I don't have to worry about buying two different size diapers and sorting them out after I do diaper laundry. Much easier to just be able to grab one and not have to worry about the size.

These diapers are awesome! My stash is mostly ALL bum genius (I have flips and organic aio's too) because they are the best I've ever tried (and I've tried a lot!) I love the 3.0's because they dry fast, are customizable in absorbancy, fit really well, and NEVER leak! I tell all my friends about them because they are so easy that even a newbie to cloth could figure them out! haha

My motivation to cloth diaper is mostly due to guilt at the amount of waste that disposables create. That said, I still do use disposables on occasion when out of the house for extended periods of time, or when my husband is watching the baby (I have not yet convinced him...still working on that). I tried gdiapers (FAIL), and like the fuzzibuns (softer but they leak more on my baby), but LOVE these. They are similar to disposables in shape and function, just a little bulkier, which doesn't bother me. My infant is just 4 months old, and is a bigger baby (>97%ile for ht/wt) but these fit her very well. I do the typical cold rinse with a little baking soda, then a hot wash with just a smidge of detergent, then cold rinse and low heat dry. So far, so good!
