I have used Bum Genius 3.0 diapers on my son for about a year now. I've loved them. They really never leaked, they wash great, and he seems to be comfortable in them. But just recently I ordered six more diapers to add more in to our rotation, and the new ones leak! I can't figure it out. They seem a little more rigid than the older ones but I don't know if that is because the older ones are just more 'weathered'. I really wish I knew what has changed in these diapers as I've loved them in the past, but not too happy with the new ones now.

Who knew saving the environment could be that easy! Even my husband doesn't mind using them. We were hoping to use them on the next kid too, but not sure if they will all bridge that gap. I have experienced two issues over the last year: 5 of the 18 diapers have lost the elasticity and now leak a bit and our little one is peeing a lot now at 2yrs( a rash develops if we leave the diapers on too long)so not quite as absorbent as disposable. Overall, though, we saved money, the environment, and time at the stores buying diapers. We were happy with our choice - better to throw out 18 diapers rather than thousands!!!!

I am not a review writing kind of person but I have to give my opinion about these diapers. I have 16 diapers and have been using these things exclusively for 7 months, because I want to get my moneys worth.First of all, they are very bulky. My daughter's pants won't even fit over these things. They seem to hurt her belly, not too stretchy.Second, they leak a lot. Every other changing my daughter's pants are wet around her thighs(extra laundry=extra water use). You have to change these very often. Forget night time, even with 2 liners they leaked, I finally switched to disposables for night time. I was so tired of changing sheets and clothes every morning. Third, I guess they are eco-friendly because they aren't going in to a landfill but what about all the water needed to wash these things, first cold, then hot, sometimes another rinse. That's a lot of water. I wanted to love these things. I wish I'd read some accurate reviews before I made the investment. I hope this helps someone else before they decide to buy these expensive diapers.

I started using cloth when my son was 9 months old. I only do it part time but I love them. My son is already 17 months old and he sleeps through the night-12 hrs. I've never had a leak problem using both the newborn and the larger insert together at night. We are on the larger setting and I hope we can still use it for a long time.
I wash them in cold, then hot, and two rinse cycles. I line dry (laundry room) them with no problem - I live in an apt building and they dry overnight.

I love these diapers. As long as you follow the directions for washing they work wonderful. My son's day care even uses them for him and they love them as well. My daughter who is 3 still wets the bed at night so she uses them also and they fit her too. They are my favorite of the cloth diapers.

I was skeptical when DH wanted to cloth diaper thinking that it would create "SO MUCH WORK" for me.

I am now a believer. While a bit pricey to invest in enough to get you going I am very happy with my purchase.

The diapers wash well, are easy to use and come in cute colors.

Beware as they will add bulk to your baby's bum, so you may need to adjust clothing size to accommodate this.

Great product, made well and very durable. I am a bit concerned that they may not last until we potty train (size-wise) but I also had a larger baby (8lb9oz).

Would recommend to friends, but advise on purchasing the diaper sprayer as well!

I JUST WANTED TO ADDRESS SOMETHING HERE. MY 3 MONTH OLD IS IN THE LARGEST ADJUSTABLE SIZE AT 16 POUNDS, CLEARLY THE SIZING IS NOT ACURATE AND THESE WILL NOT FIT HER UNTIL SHE IS ANYWHERE NEAR THE 35 POUND MARK! THESE ARE GREAT DIAPERS, NO PROBLEMS WITH LEAKING OR ANYTHING, BUT THEY DO REQUIRE CONSTANT WASHING (2X THEN ANOTHER RINSE) AND THE VELCRO BREAKS DOWN REALLY FAST AS VELCRO DOES. THEY ARE ALSO VERY BULKY UNTIL THEY ARE IN THE LARGEST SIZE AND STILL EVEN THEN! I INVESTED IN THESE AND BOUGHT 14 OF THEM FOR MY DAUGHTER. SINCE DAY 1 THEY HAVE LEFT ELASTIC MARKS ALL THE WAY AROUND HER CHUBBY LITTLE THIGHS! SHE ONLY WEIGHED 7.5, AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TIGHT AROUND THIGHS. OVERALL I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE, BUT DON'T EXPECT THESE TO FIT YOUR KIDDO UNTIL THEY ARE POTTY TRAINING. THESE COULD HAVE BEEN DESIGNED ALOT BETTER!!! AS PARENTS KNOW, NOT ALL KIDS ARE THE SAME SIZE, I HAVE 3. THEY REALLY NEED LARGER SIZES, ECSPECIALLY FOR KIDS THAT WEAR DIAPERS LONGER. I'M REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THESE....

I searched diligently through all cloth diaper options & found these were the best value & best rated. I purchased 26 of these & so glad I did. I use them every day & store soiled diapers in a DRY 5lb paint pail with the cover just sitting on top(:No Smell:). When it is full(the cover can't just sit on the pail) I wash them. I found that 1. washing on cold with 1/4 the regular amt baby detergent, 2. wash on hot with 1/4 the regular amt baby detergent, 3. dry on low setting (NO Fabric Softener!) works best leaving NO STAINS:) I just LOVE these and plan on handing them down to family and friends when my son is out of diapers:)

We have used these diapers all day - every day for the past four months. They never ever leak or "blow out". Our baby sleeps for ten or more hours a night, wakes up with a soaked diaper but her skin is always dry and she never has any kind of diaper rash or irritation. The stains come out easily if you rinse the bm diapers and then soak them in a pail with OxyClean Free and then follow the manufacturer's washing directions. My chief complaint is that we purchased many many of these because we love them and thought our baby wouldn't need any other diaper until potty trained; however, our 13lb 8oz four month old is already wearing them unsnapped to be as big as they get. Clearly they are not going to fit up to 35lbs! I don't know what she'll wear when all of these are too small.

We bought a dozen of these diapers about 1 1/2 years ago and they are still in good shape. The laundry tabs are the only thing showing a little wear (the velcro doesn't stick as well) after being used and washed every day. My only complaint is one will leak every morning when our daughter first wakes up and wets them heavily after sleeping all night. Otherwise we are satisfied with this product and would buy more in the future. (I love all the colors!)

I love Bumgenius. I've tried several other brands of pocket diapers and these work the best. The sizing options are better than the others that I've tried. They're also much trimmer than others, even when fully stuffed. I use these overnight with both inserts and have not had a problem with leaks at all. I rinse them out as soon as I can before putting them in the pail and wash every other day. I always line dry them, and the suns have kept them stain free.

My little girl will turn 6 months on the 17th and my wife and I couldn't be happier with these diapers. We made the decision to go cloth about a year ago, but didn't know which ones to get. She bought this trial pack that had 1 Happy Heinys, 1 Mommy's Touch, 1 Fuzzi Bunz, and 1 Bumgenius 3.0. We bought 29 more 3.0's and use those other three last in our rotation. Acually, that Happy Heinys is out of the rotation because it's too small now.

These diapers will leak . . . . when the insert gets soaked. That insert can only hold so much "liquid". We're on the big insert overnight and still using the small one during the day.

And to keep these diapers from staining, we use diaper liners. Catches all the "#2" and keeps these diapers looking great.

We ordered 3 of these, since everyone seems to love this brand. They fit my 15 lb infant well on the small setting, or medium setting with an extra insert for nighttime. He wore his bumgenius diaper for 11 hours last night with no leaks. The inserts were soaked and his skin was not soaked. Nice. I'm going to order more of these. I just wish they came in more colors or cute prints because I love variety.

Now that my baby is larger, I like these diapers. When he was first born, I tried using these on their smallest setting and they were just to bulky on him. Day Care commented that when he was first sitting he keep falling over because these diapers where so large in the front - being folded over. Now they are good, in fact I was going to buy a few more but after researching not all of this product is made in the USA. There are plenty of other cloth diapers out there that are one sizes that are USA made ONLY.
