Bags are TINY!

Comments about Nature babycare Eco-Friendly Diaper Disposal Bags - 50 ct:

These bags are tiny. They fit about 4-5 diapers and do not fit the opening of even a small trash can. If the bags get too "full", then the handles rip open at the seam, making them hard to tie.

If you're looking for biodegradable bags, just buy the normal green "BioBags" at the grocery store used for home composting. They are the size of a plastic grocery bag, and are sturdier.

Comments about Nature babycare Eco-Friendly Diaper Disposal Bags - 50 ct:

We bought these to go along with our nature baby diapering system and thought they would fit in our diaper pail at home.

There is no gallon size listed in the description and we wrongfully assumed they were at least a 10 gallon bag. They are not!

They are meant for single use. They can hold 3 or 4 diapers at a time, so when we're out and about they're nice - except for the fact that they begin to bio-degrade after an hour or so in the diaper bag. So anyways. Just beware before you buy and know what you're getting yourself in to.

These come perforated on a roll to tear off (like a roll of paper towels.) These are way too thin and always tore just trying to get them off of the roll. Several times I had to use two just because I tore the first one beyond use.
I prefer Classy Kid biodegradable sacks; they don't tear and lay flat in a sleeve so you don't have to deal with a box that's crushed from being carried in your diaper bag.

The bags came connected in a roll inside the box and quite often the bags would break when separating them. The handles rarely worked and the bags broke/tore most of the time. More of a nuisance than a help.

Before I purchased these bags, we used grocery bags. But we are trying to eliminate our use of plastics (we use shopping totes now. Anyways, I read all the pros and cons shared here. So, despite the cons stated by others, I bought these because it makes sense to me, if I'm going to use an eco-friendly diaper, I better use an eco-friendly trash bag.

The bags come in a roll. You will have to hand seperate the bags. I did this as soon as it arrived. Took me maybe 5 minutes to seperate the whole roll. Yes, take it easy on these. The material is thin (i'm sure that's necessary in order for it to biodegrade faster.)

In my experience, one bag can fit up to 6 full diapers (7th Generation, size 3). My hubby also sneaks in the cat poop before he tosses the bag into the outdoor garbage bin.

I love these bags! I was hesitant to purchase after reading how "poorly made" they were, but I did it and I love them. They are the perfect size for a diaper (cloth and disposable) while we are out and about. I even use them on a daily basis to clean up the cat's litter box! Perfect size for that too! As far "poor construction" goes, I disagree. I am NOT overly careful, nor am I a ravaging wolverine, I just grab the bags and gently tear one off. I have not ripped one yet!

I respect the other reviewer's opinions regarding the bags being delicate....but once you know that they're not rip-proof (hello, they are bio-degradable plastic bags!!), you are a little gentler with them next time...
It's so worth loosing 2-3 bags a 50 pack to go that little extra mile for the environment.
I'd like to leave my son a somewhat healthier planet than what my parents and grandparents have left me.
Make the effort-your children will thank you.

I rarely take the time to rate a product, but these are so bad I felt obligated to so other people don't waste their money. I am committed to helping save the environment, but the produt has to at least be usable and these simply are not. They are completely useless because they rip immediately upon using.

I wanted to like these very badly, since they are biodegradable. Regrettably, they rip quite easily. I think I've finally mastered the gentle touch needed to tenderly dis-attach each bag without it rending in two, but it is a challenge and even with full attention, I'm still not always successful. Not the best when you're trying to keep one hand on the baby. Needs improving!

I agree that these bags are not durable...they tear easily. But if you take your time and aren't in a rush, it is possible to use them without tearing. They are a wonderful eco-friendly option and are cheap! I use them to dispose of diapers when I'm out and about and also to pick up my dog's [...]. I feel relief that I can scoop up her droppings and know the bag will disappear. They are PERFECT for cleaning up after your dog!!!

I ordered 2 boxes of these diaper bags because they were 100% biodegradable. However, out of these 2 boxes nearly every single bag tore and that was despite being very careful when separating them. Would not buy these again

I noticed complaints about the bags easily tearing. You do have to pay attention when separating them. They are made to decompose, not haul around groceries and thankfully, not to last forever. It's worth being a little more mindful to be a lot more green.
