We started out using just a potty seat that fits on the toilet, which worked well. But it started to be a problem that my independent little guy couldn't go and sit down on his own on it (step stools not quite high enough). I'd dragged my feet on getting a potty chair, because I hated the thought of cleaning it out rather than having it go directly into the toilet. But I'm really glad I got this - it's really the perfect potty!

Small size - but doesn't need to be any bigger; takes up minimal space in a small bathroom.

Super easy cleanup - smooth and rounded edges are no problem to clean, and there are no cracks and crevices for yucky grime to collect like some of the more complicated chairs. I'd been hung up about fears of the cleanup, but it's really no sweat.

Nice little detail: There's a really convenient gap at the back of the base, which makes it easy to pick up and carry around. I'll often take it outside with us when my son is playing, so he can have his potty without having to go all the way back in the house.

Super sturdy design - low to the ground and not slippy or tippy.

Splash guard is nice and high, but rounded and all part of the bowl instead of a separate piece, so as not to hurt the little ones or get in the way when trying to sit. My boy has only had a couple times when he peed past it, and it was when he sat himself down too much at an angle so he was shooting to the side instead of into the guard.

Nice color options. We got a red one, and it's about as cute as a potty chair can be!

BIG plus: Recyclable plastic! I'm amazed that most other potty chairs *aren't* recyclable. Goodwill won't accept potty chairs (understandably), and it's such a shame that most would end up in a landfill eventually.

Most important: my son really likes it. He still likes to sit on the toilet seat instead some of the time, but he likes this potty chair a lot, and loves the independence it allows him. It looks similar to the red potty in the book "Where's My Potty", so he calls it the Suzie Sue potty (main character from the book). Happy customer!

I have now tried 6 different potties for my daughter and this one is the BEST! It is designed absolutely perfectly! The pieces fit together perfectly so there is no risk of pinching. The splash guard is plenty high in the front and we've never had her pee out of the potty. The height is just perfect to be easy to sit on and provide a feeling of safety. The pot is molded in a way that the lip curves up so when you are emptying it it pours out just like a pitcher with absolutely NO mess! It also never drips! It is such a smooth design that there are no sharp points and it's super easy to clean! This is our favorite and most used potty. It is perfect in every way!

My daughter is 16 months old and this potty chair is great for her. It is small enough so that she isn't intimidated, but she will be able to use it for a while. Despite the fact that it is hard plastic, she seems very comfortable on it. It is so easy to clean too. The reason that I actually bought it though is that Baby Bjorn doesn't add the chemicals that other plastic producers do. This potty chair doesn't have BPA in it.
