Comments about Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail:

This product works very well. We never smell our babies diapers once inside. The unit looks relatively decent in babies room. The capacity if good but not great, however I wouldn't want it any larger so I am satisfied.

Buying the replacement bags is an extra step, but the pail works so well to contain the diapers and odor that I think it's worth it. Friends that have pails that use regular trash bags smell badly whenever you open the lid. The arm & Hammer pail does not have that problem. Changing the bags is really easy too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a pail that contains smells well.

Comments about Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail:

I wouldn't buy this product again. There are a couple problems with this product. First off, when the bag becomes about 3/4 full, it becomes very difficult to close the lid. Secondly, I wish there was a foot controlled pedal to open and close the lid, for sanitary purposes. Thirdly, I have to go to [@] to buy the refills. Local grocery stores don't carry them. If I had done proper research, I wouldn't have bought this pail, but I bought it in the initial first few days of my little girl being home. Oh well! On the plus side, even though we keep the lid open more often that we should (due to problem #1 stated above), this pail contains the smell very well. We've never had an issue with odor.

Comments about Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail:

This is my 3rd diaper pail. I went through 2 different models of Diaper Genie with my older child and had no intention of going that route again.

My younger child is two months old and we notice no odor from this pail yet. It is very easy to get diapers into the pail. When it gets a bit tough, it's time to change the bag. That's about every 5 days right now with size 1-2 diapers.

I notice that occasionally the baking soda dispenser gets clogged but that's easily unclogged. There is still some room in each bag when it is too full to use in the pail. The bags are easy to replace and open and close to put extra in after removal.

I found that washing the inside of my previous pails with Borax solution removed nasty odor. So far I haven't felt the need to even do that with this pail.

Comments about Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail:

I bought this from a retail store as it was the only one they sold. I desperately needed a diaper pail that would completely mask odors as my dog was getting into the diaper pail. I was thrilled at first purchase. Then, I noticed that the bottom chamber door wouldn't stay closed. Kinda defeats the purpose when you have the latch falling off. Its poorly made front door was frustrating to get to stay closed. The whole idea of baking soda was great. But the twisting action of the lid virtuatlly does nothing other than make me have to open up the bottom door manually (if it hasn't already popped open on its own) to manually shift the huge bag of diapers so i can get more inside. My daughter is 2yrs old and wears size 4 diapers. I wasn't going to change the bag until absolutely necessary for the cost involved. Yes, it is the cheaper system on the market but the weight of the heavy bag of diaper makes closing the lid almost impossible without manually shifting the whole bag inside. I finally returned it for a store credit after about a month and going thru the box of refill bags I had purchased.

Comments about Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail:

I got this pail after reading a lot of good reviews. Worked good for about 2 weeks and then the odor became unbearable. Even after cleaning it and airing it out outside, it would still stink as soon as you out a (ONE) diaper in it. Even after wrapping it tight and putting in an arm and hammer bag and tying it tight. Also, the front "door" does not seal closed tight at all.... there's one little piece of plastic near the top that is supposed to keep it closed but the bottom part seems to pop out letting every smell run free. I have heavy duty tape on that area now until I find a better pail. Also, the refills are hard to find in my area... have to make special trips to K-Mart for them. this pail stinks! (in more ways than one)

Comments about Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail:

This product is wonderful! To use it you open the lid and push the diaper through the top opening. You don't have to stick your arm down in there and push it down, you just gently push it through the opening at the top. Then when you close the lid the diaper pail pushes the diaper down while dispensing a little baking soda on the diaper. When the diaper pail is full you can tell because it gets harder to close. Then you take the top of the bag which has half circle stiffer plastic and you clip one half circle to the other half circle sealing the bag shut. Then you push the top of the bag through the top hole you usually put the diapers in. There's a door on the front of the pail that you open and pull out the sealed bag. You don't have to touch, see, smell the diapers. Pure genius! I also like that you do not have to buy Baking Soda refills. It comes with Backing Soda already in the diaper pail and when it is empty you just refill it with Baking Soda from the box in your kitchen. As far as the bags and how much they hold, I paid $6.99 for a box of 10 bags and the box claims the bags will hold 25 diapers a piece. I would say that is definately an accurate estimate, and maybe even a few more when you are using smaller diapers like we are now (size 2). My son has started solid foods and is having stinkier diapers. So far this pail has completely eliminated the odor. The pail does come with about 3 bags.

Comments about Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail:

Use this every day, there is a BARELY DISCERNABLE whiff when you open the container to dispose a diaper. My daughter wears size 3 Baby Dry Pampers and when they were tightly wrapped, the disposal bag lasted about 3 weeks. Cheapest refill bags available, changing the bag was simple and sanitary. I even dumped a little more Baking Soda in occasionally and there was almost NO ODOR. Easy, one handed disposal.

Comments about Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail:

I a not a huge fan of this product. I purchased it after reading several positive reviews. The main problem is the horrible odor emitted every time one puts a diaper in this pail. When you stuff the diaper in, it opens to the chamber below, releasing the scent of all the old diapers inside. The baking soda did not seem to do much for this problem. After two weeks, I gave this product away. I'm going back to the Diaper Genie.

I have two children and with our first daughter we had the diaper genie and when you have the opportunity to compare the two there is no doubt that the Diaper Pail by Munchkin is far better. It was easier to use and had no odor whatsoever! I would recommend this product to any parent!

The arm and hammer baking soda dispenses everytime and you don't smell a thing. I also like that my hand doesn't have to go way down deep to push the diaper through. I have a 4 month old baby boy and would recommend this product to anyone!
