I had bought several of these for my children and also as gifts for a friend. I was so excited to find these cute wooden bowl/spoon sets. We use wooden or bamboo bowls regularly, so I'm aware of the way you should care for them. After only a few uses, I noticed that they began to crack in the bottom of the bowl. I also noticed tiny black dots all over the bowls - when I looked closer, I realized that these bowls easily grow mold. Again, these are really cute, but such a dissappointment :(

I was excited to find a wood bowl and spoon for such a low price. I have purchased a few other expensive toddler/baby bowls and spoons from other websites. I use a food safe wood protector on all bowls and spoons. Although the Munchkin bowls are the only ones that cracked. The other wood bowls we've used for 3 years and still look as good as day one. It's not worth the $$ to buy this cheap low quality bowl.

I saw this a few days ago and thought I would give it a try. I like wood far better to using plastic any day so this was a nice new find.
It is very cute up close and nice to look at, the wood is very soft and I could find no cracks in the set I got. BUT on the down side of things the wood maybe too soft for many and I would think a child that likes to chew would kill the spoon very fast.
Just taking of the safety ties put dints in the spoon! However for the price it seems like a fair trade off. My son really seems to like it and it dose not distract him from eating when in use. Other more colorful sets did this and it would take forever for him to eat and not just want to play with his plate/bowls.
Only thing I did not like is that the spoons are top heavy and do not stay in the bowl well. They tend to flip out so I just rest the spoon on top.
But I still plan to buy more as over all I really like them.
