Comments about Cosco Scenera Scenera Convertible Car Seat - Molly:

This is a car seat that has high ratings... If your child can face forward this seat will be good... But our son has to be rear facing still and the seat does not work in our car rear facing.

Comments about Cosco Scenera Scenera Convertible Car Seat - Molly:

Consumers says that when properly installed, this is a safe car seat. I will take their word on that. However, I have been astonished at how many different cars this seat won't fit properly when using the LATCH system (NB: to be fair all the vehicles have been foreign, German or Japanese) The fundamental flaw stems from the cost saving measure of only having a single buckle on the LATCH straps. This makes it VERY difficult to get the safety-seat snugly/tightly seated into the cars rear seat. (Gymnasts might not fond this exercise much of a challenge, but I do) The booster seat they sell is even worse in this regard. If they had just spent the extra dollar and had two tightening buckles, this would be a great bargain. By comparison, my wife is ale to install the low-end Britax (albeit at roughly twice the price) in just about any car we take, in about three minutes. While we are griping, I would like to add that the crotch snap-buckle is way too stiff, especially for people with fingernails, even short ones. In brief, even though I am lean, fit and can build my own house I find this too much to wrestle with on a regular basis.

Comments about Cosco Scenera Scenera Convertible Car Seat - Molly:

I bought this seat after looking on consumer report. It is only one of two convertable car seats that got an excellent on the crash test. The seat was difficult to install rear facing in my VolksWagon Jetta. I had to use a towel to get it to recline at the correct angle. I did get it in by myself. I have read that some had a hard time following the instruction, but I thought they were straight forward. I love the fact that it is super safe and was 1/3 the cost of other seats that aren't as safe. But yes it is just a cover on a plastic seat, although my daughter never complians. We started using it when she was 10 months and close to the 22lb max for her infant seat.

Comments about Cosco Scenera Scenera Convertible Car Seat - Molly:

i got this carseat because it was a convertible and i don't have the money to buy 2-3 car seats. well it was very huge taking it out of the box and difficult to install rear facing in my small car. my new born hated this car seat with a passion! she screamed everytime we had to put her in it. come to find out the seat has no padding and she was uncomfortable. its just plastic and a cover. we switched to a smaller infant seat and she is much happier, but now she is growing out of that seat and i still have to buy another car seat. so i still had to buy 3 seats.

Comments about Cosco Scenera Scenera Convertible Car Seat - Molly:

This product is great for using if you have twins. they are narrow, so 2 on the back seat and I can still squeeze myself between them when needed. With other car seats this was impossible. The only thing is that the cup holder easily falls of, but that also can be because how we attached them.
We bought them when they were too tall for the infant car seat. They were too small for toddler car seat.
