Comments about Safety 1st OnBoard OnBoard Infant Car Seat - Dark Mahogany/Sienna:

I bought this car seat because my 5 month old daughter has almost outgrown her Baby Trend infant seat (she's 18 lbs) and I don't really feel like she's ready for a convertible seat yet. This seat, compared to the Baby Trend which I love, is much harder to install and seems very cheaply made. It is very large and didn't fit properly in my car. [...]

Comments about Safety 1st OnBoard OnBoard Infant Car Seat - Dark Mahogany/Sienna:

My husband and I love this car seat. At it's widest point it is 16in, which is great because our 21 mo old son has the Safety 1st Alpha Omega and it is 20 in. We plan on having a third child in the future and want to be able to fit 3 car seats in the back. This car seat has the LATCH system, very easy to use, and a BeltLock for when a vehicle isn't latch compatible. The buckle is metal and not that silly plastic puzzle. This is very easy to install and removing the car seat from the base is insanely easy. We also purchase the JJ COLE strap covers in Khaki at the same time because the car seat doesn't include them. The Khaki goes really well with the colors of the car seat. The colors are DARKER than they appear. The brown is a dark brown, the cream is more of a lighter khaki, and the infant supports and trim on the shade are greenish khaki. We really like the neutral colors because the sex of the baby will be a surprise for us. Also, this car seat is in fact the ONBOARD 35 (wasn't positive when I purchased it because it's not stated in the name of the product, only in the description). Safety 1st does have a car seat just called the ONBOARD and it only holds up to 22lbs. My 21mo old son is just a little too tall to fit safely in this car seat so it should fit our new addition for quite some time. This seat is larger than a regular infant seat and I have heard that it won't fit in a shopping cart. That doesn't bother me because we plan to use an infant carrier. You could seriously run over a small child due to lack of visibility with an infant seat on a cart.

Comments about Safety 1st OnBoard OnBoard Infant Car Seat - Dark Mahogany/Sienna:

I haven't used or installed this product yet, its still sitting in the box in case I decide to go through the hassle of returning it. I was so disappointed with the way this looks. After hours of searching online and in stores for a nice, neutral car seat, I decided on what I thought was a simple cream colored car seat. When it arrived, I realized that the main color is more of a grayish taupe color and the other colors are very muted and dingy looking. The handle and base are gray, which doesn't really match. Uugghh... I like the material its made from, because it seems very breathable and light. I also like that the weight range goes from preemie to 35 pounds! My first child outgrew his seat at 6 months old because it only went up to 18 pounds or so.
