I love this! The rubber is made from a recycled tree. The paint is food/plant based, so IF it were to ever rub off, it's not going to be harmful for my baby. He loves to hold the body and bit on the head and then pull it out. He's teething and loves the feel of it. When cleaning, I plug the hole with my finger and wash with warm water and mild organic soap. The only con, is that it's noisy and my dog does enjoy the sound. I wish it didn't make noise, but other than that, it's amazing!!! I chose Chan Pie over Sophia, because her legs were longer and he gags on his fingers, so her legs would be too long for him (5 months old).

We got this for our 3 month old and it quickly became her favorite chew toy. The ring/horn is very attractive to her and she gnaws on it like crazy. Since she loves it so much, it is now my go-to gift for new babies. I think it's better than Sophie!

This thing is so flimsy. The squeaker is really loud. My dog prefers this over my 5 month old. Not very sturdy, don't see how this will help teething. Much smaller than I hoped

I love this teether. Not only is it easy for my little one to hold, but we have lots of fun playing with it together as well. She finds it really easy to hold and loves chewing on the head. Then when she isn't eating it I like to make it squeak and bounce up to her which makes for a very happy giggly baby. On my next order I will be purchasing another one from this set of teething toys. Its also really easy to clean just a quick rinse and wipe down, not that it ever seems to get that mucky considering how much it is used.

This has to be the most fun toy I've ever seen for an infant. My 4 month old loves it! I can shake it back and forth and she watches the head bob back and forth and squeak. She happily gnaws on it, can hold it, squeaks it, and she smiles every time I pull it out for her. I would not hesitate to buy this for some one who is having a baby. THe soft rubber makes me feel safer than hard plastic, and it doesn't look like any other toy - we call it her mushroom. The only downfall is that it can be pretty loud so if a preschooler gets hold of it, watch out. And it kind of resembles/sounds like a dog toy, so it took a while to get the dogs to understand it wasn't theirs. But that's pretty minor. I love love love this toy.

I was looking for a teething toy for my 6 month old son, and this is a wonderful find. It is a bit pricey, but this is by far his favorite toy! It is very easy for him to make it squeak. (The squeak is a bit loud, but is not annoyingly so) It encourages the strengthening of his hands and fingers as he manipulates it. It is VERY easy to clean.
**Do not clean it under running water as it will temporarily damage the "squeaker". Just wipe it with a damp cloth with a bit of dish soap on it.

I am going to purchase the "pie" to add to this one.

I bought this for my teething 4 month old daughter. I was so excited to get something I thought she'd be able to hold and chew on. Unfortunately, there just isn't much on this guy that she can fit in her mouth. She wants to hold the little ring, but then that's the part that she wants to chew at the same time. Also, we washed it and the squeaker immediately stopped working...although that wasn't such a bad thing :)

While I like the material, it's a magnet for hair and fuzz, so I'm constantly cleaning it off. My baby is 3 months and can grip it super easily, as it's soft and squeezable. I'm also not a big fan of the fact that it squeaks if you barely touch it - I wish you had to really squeeze it to make it go. Overall, it's cute and green; my baby and I both like it.

I don't know what it is about this toy, but my 6 month old has loved it since she was born. It can amuse her for hours and is now great for her teething. It is easy to clean as it gets dropped on the floor quite often. I didn't think it was that special when she got it, but I don't leave the house without it! It is worth the price and am now considering getting the giraffe as a back up. The hoop is handy to attach to the stroller so it doesn't get lost.

My 7 month old little girl has loved this toy since she was 5 months old! It's a softer rubber that is natural not PVC. She bites it til it squeaks (the rubber surface not just the built in skeaky) Her favorite game is for me to hide it behind something (high and low) like my leg or a stuffed animal and squeak it into sight. She looks for it then catches it and gives it a much deserve gumming.

My 5 month old loves this toy! I purchased it to test it out, I did not want to spend the $$ on Sophie in case he did not care for it. He has not taken this out of his mouth since we got it. We are purchasing Sophie as well!! The dog does go a little nuts every time it makes noise..

My daughter started teething early and was still figuring out how to pick things up. This little guy was the easiest for her to hold so she would hold him to her chest with both hands and just go to town chewing on his loop. We also bought Sophie the Giraffe but she gags on the legs and her mouth isnt big enough to chew on the head. Yes, it looks like a dog toy but it's been the best so far for our three month old.

You can put the linking chains through the loop and then fasten the chains to a fixed structure (car seat) so that the toy does not constantly fall on the floor. This is a fabulous feature when you are out in public.
