Great! We've been using it since our DD could fit into it with the baby rail (at about 7 months--she's small). Can't think of one thing to complain about. Get it-- totally worth the money, will last until the kid is old enough for a grown up chair (and beyond), and is not an eyesore in your house.

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

We love this high chair! Before purchasing the Stokke, we visited numerous stores to compare the utility, quality, and price of the following brands: Peg Perego, Inglesina, Fisher Price, among others. Equally important, we surveyed our friends on what chairs they owned and what the pros/cons were. Even though a vast majority of our friends owned various versions of the Peg Perego chairs, we decided that the safe and sturdy quality of the Tripp Trapp and the ability for our son to join us at the dinner table closed the deal. In addition to the chair, we purchased the baby set and cushion. The baby set is a must. Even though the cushion is stylish, it gets dirty (throw it in with the other baby laundry). That being said, our son doesn't even notice the difference without the cushion. As such, I would suggest that the cushion is just a stylish option and not necessary. In fact, it is much easier to keep his seat clean this way.

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

We love using our Tripp Trapp for family dining at home! We have an elegant dining room furnished with family heirloom antiques, but we blend modern pieces and the natural chair looks great, not tacky. We protect our oriental rug with a large clear mat typically used underneath a computer desk (to allow a chair to glide). We protect our table with a regular fabric table cloth and a plastic cover underneath- we roll back the fabric for the baby when feeding. We have a separate kitchen for food prep, and we were originally using a bumbo seat while sitting on the floor there feeding our daughter separate meals, and that was getting old fast... The baby set attachment is great, because our one year old Houdini daughter can't figure out how to unlatch this one and escape (She attempts to stand in restaurant high chairs). Chair was designed in Norway. USA promotes using the chair into the college years and you can, but our former Norwegian exchange student laughed and insisted that she would not talk to a kid who used a Tripp Trapp chair in college. We won't tell our kid that they stop using it around 5 years of age in Europe. [...]

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this highchair. We used a Graco hook-on chair that attached to our counter when we lived in a small condo without a dining table (also an awesome product) but needed something once we moved to our new place. Since we ate together at our counter previously, we knew we liked having our daughter with us for mealtime, which led us to the Stokke Tripp Trapp. She loves being at the table, and it's really not any messier than having her in a huge, bulky plastic chair with a tray. (She's 14 months and a very messy eater, so that's saying something!) We just put down our Kiddopotamus Tiny Diner placemat to protect our table and make clean-up easier. I love that we'll be able to use this chair for many years without having to buy a baby highchair, booster, etc. Plus, it's solid wood, easy to clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Highly recommend this product. Would definitely buy it again! [...]

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

Got the first one 29 years ago, the second one 3 years later - as others have said, the older child was still using it when the younger sibling needed a high chair. One chair is still in daily use as an office/computer chair, the other gets pulled out of storage when we have young guests - and they love sitting in it at the table with the parents. I'll have to go buy a new infant retainer, since that original part seems to have been misplaced over the years. I need to get ready to pass it along to my daughter to use with my new grandson.

Only Highchair you will ever buy!

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

This is my second Trip Trap that I bought.Unfortunately my 5 year old did not want to pass hers to the new baby. This highchair just grows with your child. Easy to clean up any messes unlike the plastic highchairs. Dinners are a very important time for us so we are happy to include our new one with us at the table. The chair looks great and is not tacky looking like the plastic ones and you will surely enjoy this one for years to come. The price is a little high when you compare it to the other highchairs, but surely worth the money.

Perfect toddler chair

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

Purchased this chair for our 2 1/2 year old as we were unable to pull his old high chair all the way to the table and use it without a tray. There was always this gap between him and the table that the food would fall through. Tripp Trap solved this problem and plus we were able to adjust it to the perfect height. He loves it especially because he can get on and off by himself. We decided not to install the straps as they don't seem to be needed for him at this age. The chair looks stylish and it's very functional. We did not purchase the cushion because the chair is very comfortable to sit on without it and easier to clean.

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

This seat is amazing. My daughter has never protested being at the table thanks to this great chair. I really like that it is only wood so it is easy to clean rather than all those fabric covered chairs. The foot rest is also very useful for catching fly-away food. We bought this becuase it is the only style that they have in Europe. The Europeans know a good thing when they see it!

Could be better
By Mom of two boys under 2.5 years of ageSite Member from SF Bay Area on 10/19/2008

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

I like the modern design of it, it looks great with our dining set. There's not much there to clean. Just the two horizontal planes and sides. Things I don't like about it: since the chair doesn't slide on the floor, our two year old is now at risk of tipping it backwards when he pushes himself away from the table (trying to get up). We've stopped him so far but he can lean it back enough to tip it. The straps are very hard to clean since you can't remove them to wash.

The Best Graduate Chair
By Mama2Jules&EvaSite Member from Chicago on 6/9/2008

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

We're proud owners of 2 TrippTrapps; could not be happier! Purchased first 2yrs ago, ds chose the Lime. Just got 2nd for dd in Red. Both are very attractive, and VERY sturdy, totally tipless. While I prefered the Walnut (lol!), it was fun to let the kids have their favorite choice, as they will ultimately become desk chairs in their rooms. Great, solid investment that will likely be handed down to their own kids, and in the meantime will serve us well for years to come.

The Best
By Mom of 3Site Member from Undisclosed on 5/28/2008

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

This chair changed my 20 months eating habits! My son was wild in his regular high chair...I think he was uncomfortable. Now he eats slowly, with the family and enjoys sitting for puzzles, art projects and more! This was a great purchase...A must for a toddler.

A Toddler Dream
By Mom of 3 - we've done it all!Site Member from Undisclosed on 5/10/2008

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

This chair is excellent for the growing toddler. It fits nicely at any table and is less abrasive than a regular high chair. Do not get the cushion...if you have a messy eater or plan to let your kiddo learn to feed themselves. It's so hard to clean. And who needs a cushion while eating for 15 minutes in a chair...the kiddo has a diaper on! Get this chair, you will thank yourself in 1 minute after trying it out!

Love it
By Val, mother of Kate, 7 moSite Member from Boston on 12/21/2007

Comments about Stokke TRIPP TRAPP Highchair - Natural:

This is a great highchair, my daughter Kate seems to feel comfortable in it (with the added cushion you can by) and safe (we also bought the rail) and she likes seating at the big table with us. We use it in our dining room which means we had to cover our wooden table with a table clothe to avoid damages. No tray with raised edges to avoid falling plates but no accidents so far. I also really like the fact that it's all wood and no plastic (except the rail), and the red one is beautiful.
